What's a chord?

 

Basically a chord is the superposition of three or more notes. Only two notes are an interval, but when we've got three notes, or more, that's a chord.

There is a rule on how a chord is built, so we will explore that in the lessons in order to give you the basis of the harmony, progressions and so on.

In popular music you can begin with only three chords to play some of the songs you might like. From there, of course, the more chords you know, the better songs will sound.

 

¿Qué es un acorde?

 

Básicamente es la superposición de tres o más notas.  Sólo dos notas superpuestas son un intervalo, pero cuando tenemos tres o más notas superpuestas, es un acorde.

Hay ciertas reglas para construir acordes, así que en las clases vamos a explorar esas reglas para darte las bases de la armonía, progresiones y demás. 

En la música popular se puede comenzar con solamente tres acordes para poder tocar las canciones que te gustan, y a partir de allí cuantos más acordes conozcas mejor sonarán esas canciones.
